Need a lift? U. Med Spa’s new treatment will raise eyebrows!

Non-Surgical Brow Lift

Have you ever noticed that the older people get the grumpier they look?  And have you ever been asked if you are angry or upset when there is nothing wrong?

Gravity causes our brows to head farther and farther south every year, creating droopiness and causing us to look angry when we aren’t.

Going under the knife used to be the only way to improve the look of droopy brows.  However, a surgical brow lift gone wrong can leave you looking like you’ve just seen a ghost, and these results are permanent!

Do you need a little lift but you’re not ready to make that kind of commitment?  A Non-Surgical Brow Lift using a neuromodulator like Botox, Dysport or Xeomin is your answer!

You may remember from our post, the 14 Cosmetic Uses of Neuromodulators, that we have different muscle groups called agonist and antagonist muscles that play a sort of “tug-of-war” with the face when they contract.

The Non-Surgical Brow Lift can give you a modest brow lift of several millimeters by relaxing the muscles that pull the eyebrows down (the corrugator, procerus and orbicularis oculi muscles) so that they muscles that pull the eyebrow up (the frontalis muscles) can win the tug-of-war, creating a lift.

The result is a more youthful, refreshed and more approachable appearance.  And for people with brows that are more or less horizontal in shape, a Non-Surgical Brow Lift can even add an attractive arch.

Non-Surgical Brow Lift

On average, results from this treatment last about three months. During the treatment, a very fine needle is injected into each specific muscle for a few seconds with only the minor discomfort of a tiny pinch.  For sensitive types, topical anesthetic cream or ice can be applied beforehand.

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are safe for all skin types and skin colors.  However, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people with any neurological diseases should not use these injectables.

For a limited time, U. Med Spa’s Non-Surgical Brow Lift is only $275.

Feeling a little needle-shy?  Give these simple brow-lifting tricks a try:

Have your eyebrows professionally shaped

For a subtle at-home brow lift, try plucking the stray hairs on the underside of the eyebrow.  This increases the space from your eye to your eyebrow, giving the illusion of a lift.  Try not to pluck stray hairs from above the eyebrows as this will have the opposite effect.

If your brows are too sparse for shaping, try Latisse to thicken your eyebrow hair.

Get your brows professionally tinted. Tinting your brows two shades lighter than their natural color will open up your eyes.

Use an eyebrow pencil to shape your brows and fill in sparse spots. If you are blonde, go two shades darker to avoid looking washed out.  Otherwise, use an eyebrow pencil that is slightly lighter than your hair color.
