Tips for Chemical Peels
Before your peel
AVOID:
Sun exposure, electrolysis, laser hair reduction, and waxing (on your face & neck) for 7days.
The use of depilatory creams and exfoliating products (AHAs, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin A, Retinol) for 7days.
Shaving the area to be treated on the day of your chemical peel
If you are receiving a Timeless Peel or a TCA Peel, a take-home pre and post peel kit is required to be used two weeks prior to your chemical peel and two weeks after your chemical peel.
After your peel
Avoid sun exposure, and use SPF 30 + daily for 4 weeks.
For medium and deep peels, your skin may start to flake and peel. To avoid scarring or pigmentary changes , you must NOT pick or help remove the skin.
Your skin may be slightly reddened and swollen. If a blister appears, apply antibiotic ointment and call U. Boutique and Med Spa at 972.943.8633
Keep the treated area lubricated to prevent scabbing.
If there is no break in the skin, you may apply only 100% mineral makeup.
