TCA Peel
As we age, cell shedding and regeneration becomes a slower and more haphazard process, making your skin unable to shed dark splotches and sun damage, which results in a dull, lifeless complexion.
Chemical peels create an even shedding of several layers of damaged cells, which exposes a fresh layer of skin with a more even color and smoother texture. Chemical peels also stimulate new cell growth, tighten the skin and decrease fine lines and wrinkles.
TCA peels can significantly improve freckling, blotchy or uneven pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles and shallow acne scars.
A consultation with our medical practitioner is required before your TCA peel. During your consultation, your skin will be examined to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.
Before your TCA Peel
Avoid sun exposure, electrolysis, laser hair reduction, and waxing (on your face and neck) for 7 days.
Avoid the use of depilatory creams and exfoliating products (AHAs, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin A, Retinol) for 7 days.
Avoid shaving the area to be treated on the day of your chemical peel.
A take- home pre and post peel kit is required for the TCA peel and must be used two weeks prior to your chemical peel and two weeks after your chemical peel.
After your TCA Peel
Avoid sun exposure, and use SPF 30+ daily for 4 weeks.
For medium and deep peels, your skin may start to flake and peel. To avoid scarring or pigmentary changes, you must NOT pick or help remove the skin.
Your skin may be slightly reddened and swollen.
Keep the treated area lubricated to prevent scabbing
Following your TCA peel, you may apply 100% mineral makeup.
