What our patients say about facial balancing
What is facial balancing
Most people search for a single fix – fuller lips, a sharper jaw, softer lines around the eyes. Facial balancing starts somewhere else: with how those features sit relative to each other. A provider looks at the thirds and fifths of your face, where volume has shifted with age, and where muscle movement is creating imbalance, then builds one plan around it
At U Med Spa, that plan usually draws from three tools – dermal filler, neurotoxins (Botox and Dysport), and biostimulators (Sculptra, PRF EZ Gel, and Radiesse) – used in whatever combination your anatomy actually calls for. The goal isn’t a bigger feature. It’s a face that reads as more rested, more symmetric, and more like a refined version of your own
What to expect from your facial balancing appointment
Step 1: Personalized Consultation
We photograph and assess your face proportions and anatomy against standard proportion references – facial thirds, fifths, and profile angle – and talk through your goals and concerns. This is your time to speak about the features that bother you the most when you look into your mirror
Step 2: Design & Plan
Your provider maps specific units of Botox & Dysport, syringes of filler, and vials of Sculptra to specific zones – cheek, jaw, chin, temple – based on the consultation
We will also discuss your total investment and timeline for the treatment plan before proceeding to your treatment
Step 3: Treatment & Review
Treatment is done in one appointment or staged over a few weeks depending on your facial balancing treatment plan. We schedule a follow-up 2 weeks after your appointment for any touch-ups and ensure that you are satisfied with your treatment
What goes into a Facial Balancing plan
Ideal candidates for facial balancing
Good fit if you are noticing
- ✔️ Your face reads as “tired” or “off,” but you can’t point to one specific feature
- ✔️ Volume loss in the cheeks or temples that’s changed your overall shape, not just one area
- ✔️ A jawline that feels heavier or squarer than you’d like, especially with jaw clenching or grinding
- ✔️ You’ve had filler in one spot before (usually lips) and it looked fine there but didn’t change the bigger picture
- ✔️ You want a plan, not a single syringe – something staged and considered rather than reactive
Worth a conversation first if
- ➖ Significant skin laxity is the main concern – that’s often a conversation about energy-based or surgical options alongside injectables
- ➖ You’re expecting a dramatic, one-visit transformation rather than a refined, staged result
- ➖ You’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection near the treatment area
- ➖ You’re not yet sure which feature bothers you most – a mapping consult is built to help sort that out
FAQs
Q
What is Facial Balancing?
A
Facial balancing looks at the face as a whole rather than one feature at a time. Instead of only adding volume to lips or cheeks, your provider maps how your features relate to each other and combines filler, Botox, and biostimulators like Sculptra to bring the face into proportion
Q
How much does facial balancing cost near me?
A
Cost depends on which combination and dosage of filler, Botox, and Sculptra your plan calls for – every face is mapped individually. At U Med Spa in Plano, we provide exact pricing during your consult before proceeding with treatment, and come up with a plan that works within your budget and timeline
Q
How long do the results last?
A
Dermal fillers can last up to 18 months whereas biostimulators such as Sculptra build gradually with results that last up to two years. Botox and Dysport typically last 3 to 5 months. To protect your initial investment, we recommend smaller touch-ups annually for dermal fillers and Sculptra, and quarterly treatments for Botox and Dysport
Q
How long is the downtime?
A
Most clients describe mild pressure rather than pain, with topical numbing used throughout the facial balancing treatment. Any swelling or bruising is typically minor and resolves within two weeks
Q
How do I know if I need Botox, filler, or Sculptra?
A
That’s what the consultation is for. Your provider assesses facial anatomy, volume loss, muscle movement, and skin quality across your whole face, then recommends the specific combination that will bring your features into balance
