FAQs
Q
What should I expect from the treatment?
A
Our licensed Phlebotomist will draw your blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, which is rich in platelets. These platelets contain growth factors that promote collagen production. By heating a portion of the plasma, we create a gel composed entirely of the patient’s own cells. Our Aesthetic Injector then injects the gel into the treatment area(s). This gel can temporarily add volume to areas like the under eyes and provide an extended release of growth factors
Q
How long do the results last?
A
We recommend two or more initial sessions to see optimal results. After the initial sessions, results typically last up to 12 months
Q
When do I begin to notice the results?
A
Some med spas advertise immediate results after PRF EZ Gel treatments, but the instant volume that they provide tends to dissipate after 1-2 weeks. Unlike dermal fillers which give you immediate gratification, PRF EZ Gel is meant to gradually stimulate collagen and provide natural results over time. Peak results are typically seen 3-5 months after the treatment
Q
How is PRF EZ Gel different from PRF or PRP?
A
Standard PRP or PRF are liquid treatments that are absorbed by the body quickly, making them great for microneedling but less effective for adding volume
EZ Gel is processed into a thicker, gel-like consistency. It stays in the tissue longer, acting as a “bio-filler” that provides immediate volume while slowly releasing growth factors over several weeks
Q
What are the primary benefits of PRF EZ Gel?
A
Because it is made from your own blood, EZ Gel offers a “two-in-one” approach:
Instant Volume: Smooths deep lines and hollows immediately.
Long-term Rejuvenation: Stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture and tone over time.
Safety: Zero risk of allergic reaction or vascular complications associated with synthetic fillers.
Q
Which areas can you treat with PRF EZ Gel?
A
EZ Gel is incredibly versatile but is particularly famous for treating the under-eye area (tear troughs), where traditional fillers can sometimes look puffy or blue (the Tyndall effect).
Other common areas include nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, hollow cheeks, lip rejuvenation (for a natural, hydrated look), and acne scars
Q
How is PRF EZ Gel different from Sculptra?
A
Both PRF EZ Gel and Sculptra are bio-stimulating injectable treatments that boost your body’s own collagen production. Both enhance skin texture, restore facial volume, and produce natural-looking results. However, PRF EZ Gel is made 100% from your own blood whereas Sculptra is a PLLA-based injectable
PRF EZ Gel is primarily designed to treat the delicate under-eye area that is usually challenging to treat with other injectables. Sculptra is effective on any large facial areas such as the cheeks, jawline, and temples. We often combine PRF EZ Gel and Sculptra treatments across various areas of the face to provide optimal results
Q
How many sessions of PRF EZ Gel do I need?
A
For optimal results, most providers recommend a series of 2 to 3 treatments spaced about 6 to 8 weeks apart. Since it is a natural product, your body will eventually metabolize the gel, and subsequent sessions help build a long-lasting collagen foundation.
Q
Are the PRF EZ Gel treatments painful?
A
The process involves a standard blood draw followed by injections. Providers at U Med Spa use a cannula (a blunt-tipped needle) to minimize discomfort and bruising. A topical numbing cream is usually applied to the injection sites to ensure a comfortable experience.
U Med approach
At U Med Spa, our approach to PRF EZ Gel centers on the power of regenerative medicine. Unlike synthetic fillers, EZ Gel is a 100% natural bio-filler created from your own blood. Our licensed providers specialize in using this “liquid gold” for under-eye rejuvenation, targeting hollow tear troughs and fine lines without the risk of puffiness often associated with traditional fillers.
We utilize a specialized heating and cooling process to transform your plasma into a versatile gel that provides both immediate volume and long-term skin regeneration. Our goal is to stimulate natural collagen production and improve skin quality from the inside out. Because EZ Gel PRF is bio-identical, it is our premier choice for patients seeking a holistic approach to facial harmonization and youthful volume restoration.
